SoulCollage® Idea: Working with Odd-Sized Images

For workshops, I try to trim images to be 5 inches or 8 inches in at least one direction when possible, but there are many images that don't fit that mold and are odd-sized, like a background that’s only 7.5 inches tall. If you’re like me and don’t want to see blank card under your SoulCollage®, you either have to pass on the image, or find a creative solution. Here are some examples from my deck of instances where I've "fixed" this problem.

This waterfall background was a little too short, so I filled in the bottom with water from somewhere else.

The water color under the odd-sized leaves is a close match to the furry background behind it, helping blend the two together.

The head, heart and guts were cut apart from the same, original image beause it was too big. This way I could overlap and fit more.
